Instructor materials are only provided to verified instructors employed at a school with an .edu address. In order to protect our content (and keep answer keys from reaching students), no exceptions can be made.

To access instructor materials, complete the Instructor Verification form. Please allow up to 5 business days for a response and verification.

If you do not have an account with AHIMA Press (note, this external site is not connected to your AHIMA ID):

  1. Go to ahimapress.org and enter the access code.
  2. You will be prompted to make a new user account. Enter an email address and a password.
  3. Once you have completed this step, select the Login button in the upper right of the screen and enter the email and password you just created. (Do not enter the access code again, or you will get a message stating it has already been used because it is already in the account you just created.)
  4. You will then see a link to the materials in the Your Books column. Select the link to go to the book page and download the materials.

If you already have an account with AHIMA Press:

  1. Go to ahimapress.org and select the Login button in the upper right of the screen and enter your email and password.
  2. Select Add Access Code at the bottom of the Your Books column and enter the access code.
  3. You will then see a link to the materials in the Your Books column. Select the link to go to the book page and download the materials.

Returns of eligible, undamaged purchases are accepted within 30 days of the invoice date. To return a book, follow these instructions:

  1. Enclose a packing slip with the return.
  2. All components included with the purchase must be included with the return.
  3. To avoid damage during return shipping, please ensure the books are properly packed to withstand shipping stresses. Please package securely and include additional packing materials as needed.
  4. It is recommended that you use a delivery method that offers tracking services.
  5. The book should be sent to the following address:

Products that are not eligible for return under any circumstance include e-books, custom products, and books with access codes revealed (scratch-off coating removed).

Your request may be denied due to any of the following:

  • The request to return product(s) was not received within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • A packing slip was not enclosed with the return.
  • The returned product(s) is discontinued or out of print and returns are not being accepted.
  • The returned book(s) was damaged (includes but is not limited to highlighting or other marks; bent, cut, or torn covers or pages; other signs of use or damage such that the item cannot be considered in “new” condition), in non-saleable condition, and cannot be returned to inventory. No refund or credit will be given, and the damaged book will not be sent back to you.

Returns of eligible, undamaged purchases are accepted only with a return merchandise authorization (RMA). Authorization must be requested via email at purchase@ahima.org

All components included with the purchase must be included with the return. To avoid damage during return shipping, please ensure the books are properly packed to withstand shipping stresses. Please package securely and include additional packing materials as needed.

The return must be received within 30 days of RMA approval. Please note:

  • The RMA return request may not exceed the same product quantity of the qualifying order. However, multiple RMAs may be returned in a single package.
  • All RMA returns must include the RMA packing list.
  • If an order qualifies for a volume discount-based minimum order quantity, any returns that cause the new order quantity to fall below the qualifying quantity will result in the order being recalculated at the item’s full price. If the value of the recalculated order is below the paid original order value, the difference will be refunded. If the recalculated order balance exceeds the original paid order value, the customer will be charged the order balance unpaid.
  • Resellers requesting an RMA will receive the RMA procedures, shipping instructions, and printable RMA packing list to enclose with their returns.

Under no circumstances will AHIMA accept a return for a product more than 90 days after its new edition publishes or it is declared out of print/end-of-life. Other products that are not eligible for return include:

  • E-books
  • Custom products
  • Books with access codes revealed (scratch-off coating removed)
  • Out-of-print or discontinued products
  • Products deemed ineligible or damaged (includes but is not limited to highlighting or other marks; bent, cut, or torn covers or pages; other signs of use or damage such that the item cannot be considered in “new” condition), in non-saleable condition, and cannot be returned to inventory. No refund will be provided, and the books will not be returned to the customer.

A return merchandise authorization may be denied due to any of the following:

  • A packing slip was not enclosed with the return.
  • A new edition of the returned product(s) has been available for 90 days and returns are no longer being accepted.
  • The returned product(s) is out of print and returns are not being accepted.
  • The returned book(s) was damaged and cannot be returned to inventory. No refund will be provided.
  • The RMA return exceeded the same product quantity of the qualifying order.
